10 am to 3pm - Kayaking, have lunch/snack at nature reserve on lake, swim/relax whatever people would like to do. Also anyone interested in sea kayaking in the Camden area please contact me and we can set up some other trips.

Mousam Lake in Shapleigh-north of Sanford. Meet at intersection of Rt.'s 109 and 11. There is a small beach and parking area.

W.O. Potluck Picnic and Baxter Meeting @ WINSLOW PARK So.Freeport
Saturday July 19th (rain date Sunday 20th)
Bring a sandwich/burger/dogs for yourself (grills available) and also a favorite side dish to share. I will bring plates, napkins, utensils etc. Need someone to bring charcoal, soda, chips etc.

Winslow Park is also a campground, tent sites are still available for this date but please call ASAP if you would like to stay overnight. Campground Phone #: 865-4198. Cost is $17- $19 per site.( I believe dogs are allowed).

The park also has nature trails, playground (where we will meet), boat dock, and kayaking from the beach. No rentals here but "Rings Marine Service" just down So. Freeport road does rent them. Call for details...865-6143 or 1-866-865-6143.

Also we will hold a "Baxter" trip meeting before the picnic. Everyone who is coming to Baxter should try to make this meeting. We need to plan our weekend events, arrange carpooling, figure who will bring what etc.

Meeting starts at 11:00 am , Picnic at 12 noon until whenever. Cost to enter park is $1.50 per person. Come one, come all.....bring friends and family, you don't need to be a member to come.

2nd Annual Trip to Baxter State Park
Saturday 2nd to Monday 4th
**Please note to those going - there is a "Baxter" trip meeting on Saturday July 19th before the picnic begins so come at 11am to WINSLOW PARK, So.Freeport

Our plan is to stay at Katahdin Stream Campground close to some good fishing spots (ponds and streams). Canoe rentals are available close by for about $5.00 for the day! The Appalachian Trail is nearby as are some shorter easier Mts., with excellent views of Katahdin. For people who would like to hike up Katahdin, the trail from this campground will be easier and shorter than last year. But we'll still have the option of hiking across the "Knifes Edge"...weather permitting -and a hike you won't soon forget.

Members please confirm. Non-members who sign up will be notified if space becomes available. Membership has first priority but we will try hard to procure more sites if the need arises. The cost for camping is $16.00 for each person (that's for 2 nights.)

If you need to cancel, that's ok, but try to give us a little time so that we could get the word out for someone to take your place.
